nice one Burt!
but i have to be honest here, i far prefer your initial sketches. Theres something a little awkward about the pose you've settled on...might just be my wonky eyes. Everything else is cool, the colours, neatness of the line....gimp dog is a genius touch and the incorporation of female fox, as inspiration for the hair.I know you wanted to avoid it being cliched, so top points for that....mine will be so cliched it'll melt your eyes. : )
cool pic guvna, like it's bold simplicity in the shapes, almost like cutout kinda feel.
