nice work Mr Nolan....i like the boldness of your line, great to see a character not drowned in clunky armour (like the way mine is heading). Nice style to the dudes face also.

Thanks for the comment dude. The shading looks nicer on paper for some reason. I was trying different things on this, now that I have the idea I might go back and strengthen up the forms and exaggerate the pose a little just to get a bit more life into it. Slightly cheating with the knight theme too but hey :)

Really like the shapes and colour choices here Ross. just one question: what's that on the knights back is it some kind of crystal sword?

cool sketch alan, quite moody and intense.

ross, thats a great character, i cant wait to see what your going to do with him next, and yeah that crystal sword is quality. I have been well lazy this week, but i'll get something up soon.

yeah it's some kinda blocky laser/crystal sword, like smooth black green rocks that glow or something, not figured it out entirely yet but got some more concepts to do with this guy and his foes, so should explain/expand on it more in those

Alright Chris- I'd say this is missing color, too much grey perhaps and as you said it's crying out to be a little more free. It looks to me like you concentrate on finishing a small area at a time and go around the drawing like that? Perhaps look at the whole thing in a broader sense? Although I'm not saying it's bad, it's good.

I'd definitely change the backround color at least, it will probably make the drawing pop more.
